About LPGA-USGA Girls Golf of Phoenix

LPGA-USGA Girls Golf was formed to connect girls with the game of golf.  A developmental junior golf program and the only national initiative of its kind, LPGA-USGA Girls Golf presents an opportunity for girls to make lasting friendships, gain self-confidence, learn to compete and have fun playing golf, while fostering a lifetime of enjoyment for the game.

Girls Golf is administered through a partnership between The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Foundation and the United States Golf Association (USGA).  The Girls Golf program is modeled after the LPGA Girls Golf Club, which was established in 1989 in Phoenix by LPGA Teaching and Club Professional Division member, Sandy LaBauve.  The program became an initiative of the LPGA in 1994, and in January of 2002, the LPGA and the USGA launched a cooperative effort through an expanded partnership to further promote and grow girls' golf and its future.

The local LPGA-USGA Girls Golf of Phoenix program welcomes girls ages 3-18 to participate in golf events with varied formats including stroke play, team best-ball, scramble, parent-daughter and evening glow ball events.  The variety of formats allow the emphasis to be placed on having fun and encourage family involvement.  The program meets year-round with weekly events in the summer and monthly events during the school year.

There are vast opportunities for girls in golf ranging from the ability to create a flexible practice and tournament schedule, unlimited access to events offering a variety of formats, to abundant college level golf scholarships and ultimately career options for the amatuer and professional golfer.  Golf is a game of a lifetime and the benefits reach far and wide for females of all ages.

Once again, I will be raising money to support the LPGA-USGA Girls Golf of Phoenix program.  Funds raised help keep program costs and fees at a minimum, aid in the ability to offer a variety of unique events and awards and while offering financial assistance for those in need.  We strive to provide an outstanding golf experience for girls and their families at affordable prices.

I am sponsoring myself for $100.00 and would like to ask you to consider matching my contribution, but any amount you are able to donate is greatly appreciated.

If you are interested in joining me in 100 holes of golf to raise funds for the LPGA-USGA Girls Golf of Phoenix program, please contact me at 602-944-6168.

Thank you for your support!
